Mathew Scholtz became the first rider to finish first in his Superstock 1000 class and also win the Superbike race. Superbike is the premier racing class in the MotoAmerica Championship, and the Superstock 1000 class is universally regarded as one notch below Superbike, yet both classes line up on the starting grid in the same race, and there is a separate Superbike race winner and a Superstock 1000 winner. On Sunday at Barber, those two winners were in fact one rider: Mathew Scholtz.

At the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey, USA, Mathew Scholtz, the “Durban Dynamo,” wrapped up the 2017 MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 Championship, once again aboard a Yamaha R1. With one round and two more Superstock 1000 races left in the season, Mathew has already collected enough Championship points to make his lead insurmountable by any other competitor in the class. And he did it in style by clinching the title with a victory in Sunday’s Superstock 1000 Race 2 at NJMP.

Charlie Gets a Race Bike!

This is the power of motorcycle racing! Charlie, who came to a race & experienced being with the team in the paddock for a full race weekend, has been watching, researching, learning & wont stop talking about racing! This video of him being surprised with his very own KTM race bike, brought us to tears! We are excited to watch him learn to race along with all the discipline, training and hard work that goes into it! Good luck Charlie! We hope to see you at another race VERY soon!
