After postponements and cancellations brought about by COVID-19 and despite a first round of the season that will have no spectators, Westby Racing is filled with joy and optimism as they travel to Road America for the start of the 2020 MotoAmerica Championship this weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

Saturday’s MotoAmerica race day at Road America was a good one for Westby Racing’s two-rider squad as Superbike rider Mathew Scholtz Racing notched a runner-up finish and, in Junior Cup, Cody Wyman Racing came home seventh.

On Sunday at Road America, the fate of Westby Racing’s two riders went in opposite directions. Junior Cup rider Cody Wyman improved on his seventh-place result on Saturday with a fourth-place finish on Sunday, while Superbike rider Mathew Scholt, who was runner-up on Saturday, got caught up in a racing incident on Sunday, unfortunately went down, and was unable to finish the race.
