About Cody Wyman, #34 –

Cody started flat track racing at the age of seven aboard a Yamaha PW50 in Geneva, New York. He went on to win the track championship in 2001 and followed his two older brothers up through the ranks in flat track before switching to road racing at age 14. 

In 2008, while middle brother Travis qualified for the Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup and oldest brother Kyle raced in AMA SuperSport, Cody began competing on a Honda RS125 at select club events. He quickly advanced from Novice to Expert and won his first race at Pittsburgh International Raceway in 2009.

 

In 2010, Cody made his professional debut at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in AMA SuperSport and raced multiple rounds, finishing in the points twice with a best finish of 12th at Barber Motorsports Park. In 2011, Cody only raced in one AMA round at New Jersey Motorsports Park. In 2012, 2013, and 2014, Cody raced in AMA SuperSport, scoring 11 top-10s and 3-top 5s while competing in 16 of the 28 rounds on the calendar.

2015 brought changes while MotoAmerica took over the rights to the AMA road racing championship. Cody raced in five of the nine rounds of the inaugural 2015 MotoAmerica Superstock 600 championship and finished in 11th place for the season. 2016 brought bigger changes to Cody’s personal life when he relocated from Rochester, New York, to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he has been working for five years as a professional driving instructor for manufacturers like Chevrolet, Cadillac, Lexus, McLaren etc.

While he has only been on a motorcycle a couple times each year over the past few years, being in a car on a racetrack gave him the adrenaline rush he needed while continuing to hone his racing skills. In the summer of 2019, Cody got his chance to return to motorcycle road racing aboard a Westby Racing Yamaha YZF-R3, and he had a best finish of fourth while competing in the final three rounds of the season. In 2020, Westby Racing welcomes Cody back for his first full season of racing in the MotoAmerica Series.
