About John – 

Born into a trucking family, John Buanno (aka “Johnny B”) practically has diesel fuel running through his veins. Buanno Transportation is a well-known logistics company in the Northeast. John has also had a lifelong love of motorcycles, and his brother-in-law is Graves Motorsports owner Chuck Graves.

 

A long-time member of the racing paddock, John has worked for Graves Motorsports, Meen Motorsports, MotoAmerica, Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., and, most recently Chip Ganassi Racing, where he was a crewmember for the IMSA team that raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 12 Hours of Sebring, and the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

 

John’s primary responsibility with Westby Racing is transportation services, but his many talents will be incorporated into everything from hospitality, to crew support, to anything else the team may need. An Air Force veteran, John—known by many as the “mayor of the paddock”— is always willing to help in any way he can.
